Goals:
Take your technology skills to the next level by working with the most widely used software in today’s business world. Students will be able to create professional quality publications and presentations suitable for class work, professional purposes, and personal use.
Content:
Learn to produce professional–quality personal and business publications quickly and easily using Microsoft Publisher. Students will use their creativity to produce brochures, business forms, newsletters, flyers, calendars, and other unique professional documents. Students will scan images and snap pictures with a digital camera to produce creative and original documents.
Microsoft PowerPoint provides the tools to share information with animation, artwork, text, and sound. PowerPoint is used to create slides, outlines, speaker’s notes, and audience handouts.
Excel is a popular software package that is used for business applications and for cross-curricular applications in schools. Spreadsheets, database management, and charting are areas that students will use to apply their skill to individualized projects.
Prerequisite:
Keyboarding or with special permission from the instructor.
This course is recommended for all students. Students interested in art, advertising, and business careers are encouraged to learn Microsoft Office 2000.
