Understanding ACT Score Reports
ACT vs SAT
IMPORTANT MESSAGE ABOUT THE ACT:
ALL JUNIORS will be taking The ACT plus Writing and WorkKeys in February during the regular school day at GHS (with testing make-up days in March). The results from this test are official and accepted by all colleges/universities that require an ACT score for admission. If a student wishes to take The ACT prior to the state mandated February test or retake it after, please find the national ACT test dates below (please note that GHS is not a test site for The ACT on any Saturday date):

SAT TEST DATES
The PSAT/NMSQT Preliminary SAT®/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test is a shorter version of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT I) administered by high schools each year in October. The PSAT measures critical reading, verbal reasoning, math problem-solving skills, and writing skills.
It also assists students with their college and career planning and serves as the qualifying test for scholarships awarded by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. The PSAT and scholarship eligibility is geared for juniors, but interested sophomores can also take the PSAT for practice.
Scores - the PSAT will be administered at GHS on October 11, 2017. Score reports will be available in January. Students will be able to access their scores online. Students will also receive a paper score report from their counselor.
